Series of 3 to SD
The process of creating this series of paintings felt a little different then the last time I had the opportunity to show my art in a gallery in San Diego. I think over the past 8 years or so I have grown as a person and as an artist.
New series of three paintings at SD Art Advisory.
Returning to the SD art scene.
The process of creating this series of paintings felt a little different then the last time I had the opportunity to show my art in a gallery in San Diego. I think over the past 8 years or so I have grown as a person and as an artist. I felt more relaxed and enjoyed the process of working on the paintings. This seemed to help the images come to life, I wasn’t forcing it and I just let it flow. These are the exact paintings I wanted to put out. I don’t have any feelings of whether or not they are good enough or whether or not they are amazing pieces of art. I painted them the way I wanted to paint them and I trusted the process and my ability to make something that I could be proud of. I can’t wait to create some more and will strive to have the same mindset and energy towards my next pieces.
I met Alexander Salazar who is one owners and art dealers of SD Art Advisory and about 12 years ago. He was the first Gallery owner to give me a shot and start displaying my art in a gallery, so when he called me up and ask if I wanted to get back at it with him I couldn’t say no. I am happy that I said yes and it really feels great to back in the scene with some of my artists friends from the past. The space is amazing and the location is perfect in my opinion. I will get busy making more to help fill the walls of his gallery.
